Days Inn by Wyndham Des Moines Merle Hay

Right after checking in we went to the pool, the hot tub was out of service, there was no ventilation system and there was so much condensation that it was almost raining dripping from the ceiling all over my phone, so I went to get a towel to set over my phone but there was none. We got in the pool, water was super warm, but burned skin and nose with way too much chemicals, my kids didn't last more than half hour before their eyes hurt too bad which is fine because we had to be up super early. Went to go shower and the water wouldn't stay a consistent temperature. Went to go to bed and to the north of our room is the arcade which was incredibly busy and loud, the door to the room didn't seal (actually had about a 1/4" gap) so all the noise and light came in the room. The sign posted says that all games are on a timer that turns off power promptly at 10pm and not to put coins in after 9:40pm, it's almost 11 and there are people still playing. Right along side the hotel to the south is a McDonald's drive thru (literally like 20' there is no parking or even a sidewalk between) which was also busy with quite a few loud vehicle's come through I live in town so I get normal noise but this hotel is not soundproofed or at the very least insulated well at all... really wish I had read the reviews prior to booking. Hope my card isn't charged extra! Also hope they have fun cleaning my kids' gum from the trash cans as neither of the trash cans in the room had liners. I will never stay here again.
