Jiva Salonspa

Everything about this place makes you feel like you're being luxuriously pampered, just not at price you'd expect. You're greeted upon entering by the hostesses, offered a beverage, and have the opportunity to look around. The only real ding I have is there isn't anywhere to sit up front while waiting for your appointment. I went in for a haircut and was greeted by the very effervescent Sara. I won't bore you with the details other than we discussed what to do with my hair. To my surprise (it's been a few years since I've been here) I was offered a neck massage. While it wasn't going to work out the tension in my neck, it was a nice addition. The "wash" room was dimly lit, cool, and had some soft music. Good space to relax for a moment and get your hair washed. Fast forward through most of the cut, Sara took into account my propensity to not actually style my hair and gave me a cut that would work well with my low effort mantra. Offered me styling tips at the end and suggested some products, but wasn't pushy about it. All in all, I like the cut, Sara was great (easy to talk with), and I couldn't beat the price for the amount of service I received. I live out of state and for the amount of services I received today, I would easily have paid 3 times as much. I definitely recommend Jiva and I'll stop in for a cut next time I'm in town.
