The Quarters at Iowa City

I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The apartments look great to visitors and at first glance, but as you start to live there, you realize little things that bother you. Also, there are things that you should probably have in a newly constructed living space, but you don’t. My apartment was unfinished when I first moved in, but maintenance was quick to finish the big stuff (hooking up washer and dryer), but left some of the smaller stuff for us to deal with. My roommates and I, ever since we moved in, have had a freezer door that falls off the hinges. No matter how many times we put in a complaint, it is not fixed. It was built very cheap and quickly. Not to mention I am paying way too much to have a 15-20 minute drive from campus or downtown. Also, the people in the offices are rude, unprofessional and uncooperative. My roommates and I were told that our rent would be cheaper multiple times throughout the first month due to us being shown a larger apartment than what we got, but after multiple people in the office would not answer calls or emails, we ended up giving up. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The amenities and apartments look great on paper, but it truly is not worth it.
