If only I could give them no star, I would. I cannot stress enough, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not board your fur babies here. When we dropped our guy off, they did not give a tour of the place, were very short with us (all they wanted was our money!), and literally just took him away without allowing us to give him some goodbye loves. My dog is my child, so before you call me ridiculous, consider this scenario with a human child. I asked if they would send pictures/any updates, they said yes via text and Facebook. I advised them to call me if he seemed stressed or was not doing well, there were people who would come get him if needed. I never received a call or text, and no pictures were posted. When we returned to pick him up, he was not his normal self- the dog who gets excited when you return after 5 mins, didn't even wag his tail, and cowered until we got to the car and were on the main road. That was when I noticed everything- his paws were RAW, literally to the point they were infected and oozing. He wouldn't let me touch them, I'm sure they hurt as bad as they looked. He had a rash all over his body, his skin was patchy in some spots, he had telltale signs of being left on concrete on his elbows, and there were scabs and raw open wounds that were bleeding and full of pus all along his spine. I was bawling, because who lets that happen and doesn't say anything, nor do something to fix it. They told me they bathed him before we picked him up, so there was no way they missed it and just didn't see it. We ended up getting him to the vet and spent almost $1000 in vet bills, on top of his boarding fee, to get him back to his normal self. I am sickened by this treatment and hope no one else has to go through this due to neglectful boarders. If you still aren't convinced it was related to his care, we tried boarding again, same length of time and same time of year, and had no issues whatsoever. If you are wanting a place to go around here with the best care out there.. check out K9 Comfort in Bellevue. They were beyond understanding of our situation and were more than happy to accommodate this nervous fur mama after the terrible experience we had with SH. Somewhat graphic pictures attached- these are just a couple of examples of what we were dealing with.. it was far worse than even those show.
