Update 6/20/2017- I initially rated this business as 3 star. However, I was very pleased with how timely the owner responded to my original review and reached out to me. (see comments below) Responsiveness and acknowledgement of the issue/complaint are two metrics I consider when identifying a mediocre business/service from a superior one. Every effort was made to resolve the issue and to better understand the miscommunication. I'm all for do-overs. I will return again and again, and am confident that if any other issues/concerns arise, they will be handled effectively and efficiently. Keep up the great work Team Thrive! I am a more than satisfied customer. Original Post (6/16/2017) I was happy to find a nutrition club close to where I work during the week while working in Iowa. The club is very modern and clean. I found the staff to be very friendly upon my first visit two weeks ago. However, since my last visit, I have undergone some testing and it has been verified that I need to stay away from gluten. This is not a fad diet. If I consume gluten I will be doubled over in pain for two days. (Yes.....I've become one of those annoying people who has dietary restrictions and needs to be accommodated!) I was certainly less compassionate towards others with restrictions until I found myself in this special group of folks. Isn't that always the way! Today, I called the club to determine if they serve shakes sans gluten. I was quite disappointed that the woman who assisted me was very dismissive, claiming that she didn't have time to dig into my inquiry at the moment. Apparently, the owners and regular staff were out at trainings/meetings for the day. I get it. There are times I have to be off site for my work as well, but I think it would be in everyone's best interest, and certainly for business continuity processes, if the replacement staff were adequately up to speed on your products. At a minimum, I would have been ok with her stating that she was overwhelmed and couldn't help me at the moment..........but that she would have one of the owners reach out to me upon their return. I know we dietary restriction folks can be annoying, but at $8.00 a pop for a shake, I do expect a best-in-class experience. I will try again, but am hopeful next time to be treated as a valuable customer as opposed to a burden.
